TIPS FOR FASTER HAIR GROWTH

TIPS FOR FASTER HAIR GROWTH

Posted by Manny Y on 8th Apr 2015

Most people experience an average hair growth rate of about half an inch a month. We all have different rates of hair growth and how fast our hair grows often depends on two determining factors: genetics and health. When it comes to genetics, there isn’t really anything we can do alter our gene to make our hair faster. But there are external factors that we can manipulate to increase hair growth and one good way is to stay fit and healthy.

Below are some tips that can naturally stimulate hair growth and can keep you healthy at the same time:

Eat Healthy Foods

Yes, consuming healthy foods is not only good for your body, it’s great for your hair too. Like what they say “you are what you eat” and if you love fatty unhealthy foods, all that grease will end up on your scalp and hair, which can affect hair growth. To get your hair growing fast, eat foods that are rich in protein, because this is what hair is mostly made of. Foods rich in protein are: lentils, soya beans, milk, cheese, fish, lean mean from beef, pork and chicken.

Exercise Regularly

Regular exercise makes the body stronger and improves the immune system. Exercise also enables the body to handle stress more efficiently. It is believe that stress is one of the common factors of hair thinning and hair loss, and empowering the body to coup with stress is a great way in preventing slow hair growth. Also, a healthy immune system prevents any fungal or bacterial infections from occurring all over the body, including the scalp.

Hygiene

Regular hair and scalp washing can helps control oils, dirt and dust trapped on your hair. Our skin produces oil called sebum which is secreted by the sebaceous glands and these glands are found on every hair follicle. The main function of sebum is to condition skin and hair. But if not washed regularly, the oils can accumulate and harden when mixed with the dirt and dust, which slows down or even prevents hair growth.
