We all have unwanted hair, and the most common way to remove unwanted hair is by shaving. Actually there are many ways to remove hair like: waxing, epilators, depilatory creams and even laser hair removal, but shaving stands out from the rest because it is easy to do, cheap, pain free and you can shave anywhere, anytime you want.
Shaving maybe very advantageous, but there are some skin problems associated with this hair removal technique. Ingrown hair always comes hand in hand with shaving. This occurs when hair is cut at an angle while shaving. When hair grows back, it stabs to the wall of the hair follicle causing the hair to kink as it grows longer. Eventually, sebum forms a plug at the opening of the follicle, further entrapping the hair.
One way of removing ingrown hairs is to exfoliate the skin, this removes the sebum plug; thus, releasing the hair. If exfoliation did not work for you, you can use a picking tool specially made to remove ingrown hair like Tweezerman Ingrown hair remover.
The Tweezerman Ingrown Hair Remover looks and feels like a regular tweezer, but the big difference is it got pointed tips. The elongated points are specifically made to remove any small embedded particles, splinters and stubborn ingrown hairs. Also, this product is made of medical grade stainless steel, making it safe to use on skin.
The Tweezerman is also easy to use. Make sure wash area being treated with soap and water. Dip or wipe the tips and body of the tweezer before using. Now, try to use one of the pointed ends of the tweeter to expose the hair, and gently tweeze it to the direction of hair growth. After tweezing, it is best to disinfect the area again with hydrogen peroxide or iodine solution to prevent any infection.
