Hair fall has long been a problem for men and women alike. Most of us are unaware how to stop hair fall and prevent hair loss or baldness. Once men notice their hair fall problem, they usually resort to expensive treatments that can cause undesirable side effects. However, there are natural ways and natural products that can help encourage new hair growth.
- Proper nutrition – Eating the right food is the key to healthy hair growth. Our hair is mostly made of a protein called keratin and consuming the right amounts of protein daily is good for hair growth. Excellent sources of protein are: soya beans, lentils, milk, cheese, fish and lean meat from beef, pork and chicken.
- Keep you scalp clean – Keeping your scalp clean makes it ideal for hair growth. If your scalp is suffering from psoriasis or dandruff then this can cause hair fall. Also, our skin produces an oil called sebum and acts as a natural skin and hair conditioner. When sebum accumulates, hair can get oily and greasy, attracting dirt and dust. On the scalp, sebum can clog the hair follicles obstructing hair growth. It is recommended to wash daily to control sebum production.
- Natural hair growth products – FAST or Fortified Amino Scalp Therapy is a deep cleaning shampoo and conditioner that is specifically made to naturally stimulate hair growth. FAST does this by providing need nutrients to hair growth like: amino acids(protein), vitamins (biotin and pantothenic acid) and herbal actives.
- Give you scalp a massage – massaging the scalp a few minutes a day can improve hair growth because this technique improves blood circulation. More blood going to the scalp means more oxygen and nutrients reaching the hair follicles; hence, improving hair growth.
- Give your hair and scalp a break – everyday we style our hair using various styling methods and use different products like: gels, sprays and moose, but the most damaging type of hair styling is the use of heat. Hot straightening plates, curlers and blow driers can reach very high temperatures and can literally vaporize the moisture in hair causing dry and brittle hair. So it is advisable to use heat only on special occasions.
