This is the reason why many pharmaceutical companies take advantage of this opportunity and make all sorts of products to treat hair loss. The products these companies create really do stop further hair fall and stimulate hair growth, but since these hair loss treatments are mostly made of chemicals, serious side effects can occur.
The most popular hair loss treatment: finasteride is considered the most effective hair loss treatment so far. What it does is it stops the formation of a hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT). It is well known that DHT is the primary cause of androgenetic alopecia or male pattern baldness. For some reason, men who are genetically susceptible for this type of hair loss condition have hair follicles that are sensitive to DHT. But remember DHT is an important hormone especially for men and is responsible for a lot of bodily functions including a man’s libido, penile erection and a lot more male sexual purposes. Stopping DHT means stopping all of these functions, worse thing is this drug can also cause male breast cancer.
What should we do to safely stop hair loss?
Use natural treatments. A lot of people think that herbal concoctions are not effective in treating any ailment but the fact is, modern medicine is looking back to natural herbal remedies because these treatments are safe even after years of use and have minimal or no side effects at all.
Saw palmetto extracts is a natural alternative to finasteride in stopping DHT. Amino acids and B-complex vitamins provide nutrients to hair therefore stopping hair fall.
