HOW TO PREVENT SLOW HAIR GROWTH

Is your hair growing sluggishly? Do you feel that you are suffering fromslow hair growth? Well, you’re not alone. A lot of people suffer from slow hair growth every now and then, but why do our hair sometimes grow slow?
The Truth
The fact is, our hair do not stop growing. Our hair normally grows in cycles namely: Anagen phase – the growth phase, Catagen phase – transitional phase, and telogen phase – actual hair fall. The majority of our hair is in the growth phase and a small portion in the catagen and telogen phase. We typically grow about half an inch of hair a month.
Now the reason why we feel that our hair stopped growing or grows super slow is due to hair breakage. You may not notice that your hair is breaking in some points due to weak hair strands, and probably your hair can not handle the strain of having long hair, that’s why it breaks.
It is important to properly take care of your hair to prevent any breakage. Remember that our hair is nothing but dead keratin strands and there is no way it can repair itself. Of course there are external factors that we can do to prevent hair breakage, below are a few tips:
Gentle Grooming
When combing or brushing, it best to do gently strokes and never force your comb or brush when your hair gets tangled. Use a special comb that detangles hair. These products maybe expensive, but it’s a great way to prevent hair breakage.
Don’t Use Heat
Any hair styling using heat can damage hair. Hot iron straightness, curlers, or hair driers can vaporize the little moisture the hair contains. When this happens hair become dry, dull and brittle, making it very prone to breakage.
Treat Your Hair Well
From time to time, it is advisable to deep condition your hair to keep it beautiful and healthy. Conditioning helps lock moisture in the hair’s core, it also makes hair shiny and slippery making it easy to comb or brush.
