HOW TO DEAL WITH ANDROGENETIC ALOPECIA TO PREVENT WOMENS HAIR LOSS

Are you a woman suffering from hair loss? Now, you may be wondering despite of you being perfectly healthy and in great physical condition, still you’re suffering from hair loss.
Well, you’re not alone. Usually, women experience hair loss due to extreme dieting, after giving birth and going through extreme stress. But hair loss without any underlying condition – that’s a big question isn’t it? Unfortunately, there are a lot of women who experience hair loss because of a condition called Androgenetic Alopecia. Commonly called female pattern hair loss, this type of hair loss is genetically determined. It is a genetic trait that is passed on by both parents.
Androgenetic Alopecia occurs because of the hormone DHT, short for dihydrotestosterone. This hormone comes from testosterone when acted upon by the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase. DHT is predominantly a male hormone and is also the number one cause of hair loss in males. Unfortunately, women can produce small amounts of testosterone thru the adrenal glands. When testosterone is released in the bloodstream, it converts to DHT at the hair follicles.
For some reason, this conversion causes the hair follicles to malfunction or fail. It is said that DHT causes the blood supply of the hair follicles to shrink, depriving the follicles of vital nourishment especially protein to produce terminal hair.
Fortunately, women do not experience total hair loss like men. It is rare to find women who are truly bald. Most women whom you see that are totally bald have done that by choice. Just like men, women too can get tired of wearing a wig or hat just to cover up thinning hair.
As the saying goes, prevention is better than cure. If you know that hair loss will strike you at some point, then it’s best to never let that happen. There are a lot of hair loss treatment products in the market and it won’t hurt if you use them early, way before hair loss occurs. Keep in mind to choose natural based products over drug-based ones. These are mild and safer for the hair and scalp. Try to parry away from chemical based products that can cause problems after long term use.
