FREQUENT CAUSES OF HAIR LOSS IN WOMEN

Hair loss is a common problem that men and women share. At first, men find hair loss stressful but most learn to accept this condition since it isnot unusual to see middle agedmen loosing hair or being bald even. In women it’s another story.

A women’s hair is part of their overall beauty, they don’t call it their crowning glory for nothing. And when a women experience hair loss, it is like taking away a part of them that makes them beautiful, this is very devastating for them.

The reality is, there are a lot of conditions that can cause hair loss in women than in men. Below are some of the common problems that can lead to hair loss and women:

Vitamin and mineral deficiency is one of the leading causes of hair loss in women. Iron deficiency for example is a good example of mineral deficiency leading to hair loss. Biotin, inositol and panthenol are B-complex vitamins that the hair needs to keep the follicles and hair strands strong. Taking daily supplements can certainlycure this type of hair loss.

Another common cause of hair loss in women is constant exposure to different kinds of hair products. Constant hair colour change can dehydrate hair make it dry and brittle making it easy to break. Worse, the chemicals can sip into the scalp damaging the hair follicles causing hair to fall in clumps (Lady Gaga hair loss). Constant hair straightening or curling using heat can also dry the hair leading to breakage.

Certain hair styles like a tight bun or pony tail can cause a problem called traction alopecia. Due to wearing a tight hair style for anprolonged period of time, some hair strands gets pulled out from the roots. Other hair styles that can cause this condition are dreadlocks and cornwalls. Simply avoiding these styles or loosening it up can stop further hair loss.

Stress is probably the most common cause of hair loss in women. Intense stress from work or after a major operation or illness can cause telogen effluvium. This is when all the hair strands suddenly enters the telogen phase of the hair growth cycle and telogen effluvium can cause sudden massive hair loss.

Fortunately, all the above conditions are avoidable and temporary; no hair loss treatment is really needed. Eating well, taking daily supplements, proper grooming and dealing with stress aren’t that hard to do, right?
