Our hair is an important part of our well being, having healthy, thick, beautiful hair can really lift up our confidence. That’s why it is very important to take care of our hair. Don’t even think about the models on magazines or celebrities with beautiful god like hair just sprout on their heads. A lot of maintenance needs to be done and if you want your hair looking the same way, you should take care of your hair too.
Regularly cleaning your scalp and hair is one the key steps to make your clean and shinny, no one wants a greasy head, right? Use lukewarm water to get rid of all that grim and oils. Do not use hot water, remember the first thing the water hits when it jets out of the shower nozzle is your scalp. And this damages your hair follicles causing hair loss.
Massaging the scalp is a great way to improve blood circulation and maintain the elasticity of the scalp. Ever noticed that middle aged men have very stiff scalp compared to children or teenagers who’ve got really flexible scalp. Regular massaging is one way to keep it scalp soft and flexible, this is great for blood circulation. Do this twice each week for 15 minutes while in the shower or before bed time.
To keep the hair follicles well nourished it is also recommended to eat a well balanced diet and take daily vitamin and mineral supplements. Our hair follicles produce about half an inch of hair a month and our hair is primarily made of protein. So taking meat, fish and greens provides all the protein the hair needs for growth. Also certain vitamins like biotin and vitamin B5 help promote healthy and shiny hair.
Lastly, attempt to avoid if possible or learn to control stress. Stress alone can trigger all kinds of body changes this includes hair loss. So it is important to control, better yet avoid any stressful events or encounters.
