Myth 1: Frequent Hair Trimming can make hair grow faster. This is probably one of the common myths that we practice and it’s absolutely not true. Frequent trimmings does not stimulate faster hair growth. According to experts, hair follicles grow about half an inch hair a month and depending on a person’s health condition, hair can grow faster or slower.

However, you can switch to a different type of shampoo whenever you change hair colour for example, using a product that provide more conditioning to prevent hair from drying.

Myth 3: If you shampoo Three or four times a week, this could minimize the production of oil in the scalp. Not true, according to a dermatologist, whether you constantly shampoo or not, the sebaceous glands will constantly produce the same amount of oil on your scalp. Nevertheless, certain conditions can increase or decrease production like hormonal changes or if you’re genetically predispose have oily or dry hair.

Myth 4: Rinsing with cold water makes hair shinier. Not true, cold water has nothing to do with making hair shinier.

Myth 5: The 100 brush stroke make the hair healthy myth. Not true. Many of us think that constant brushing, in this case 100x will evenly distribute the oils from the scalp to hair and stimulate faster hair growth.
