Hair loss is a natural condition that normally occurs when we come of age, affecting both sexes, but seen mostly among men. Unfortunately, it has been observed that hair loss cases are growing among younger age groups.
Developing hair loss in your 20s or worse in your teens has a devastating effect on one’s self esteem. Imagine a child going thru high school who is suffering from hair loss.
There are a lot of causes of hair loss, but the most common is androgenetic alopecia, also known as male/female pattern hair loss. Andregenetic alopecia is hereditary, and it is believed that the mother is carrier of the hair loss gene. If you see your father and uncles suffering from hair loss or worst being bald, then most likely you will experience the same faith.
Typically, androgenetic alopecia starts around the age of 40. Early signs are increase in hair fall and thinning. Then a receding hair line will form, which thru the years will go higher and higher, until you are left with very thin hair or being bald on top of the head. What is left is a rim of hair at the sides of the temple and lower back, in worst cases total hair loss can occur.
Luckily for women total hair loss is rare and generalized hair thinning is frequently observed. But the sad thing here is, women are emotionally affected by hair loss compared to men.
But not to worry, the key to fighting hair loss is prevention. If you already know you have a family history of hair loss, especially the early onset type of hair loss, it is best to use a hair loss treatment long before the early signs can occur. There are a lot of hair loss treatments in the market today, it is best to use natural treatments because these products are safe even after years of use.
