Nowadays, getting your favorite tattoo design etch to your skin is pretty common, everyone is getting a tattoo. Some are even getting a tattoo just to get a one, not giving it much thought and treating it as if it’s no big deal.
The truth is, getting a tattoo is a big deal and should not be taken lightly. Tattoos are permanent and these drawing, text or any design should have value and meaning to the bearer. Avoid making quick decisions, choosing a design at the spur of the moment isn’t the right approach when selecting a tattoo design.
One of the most common tattoo mistakes is getting the name of your partner permanently etched on your skin. No one should do this, even if it’s the name of your wife or husband because no one really knows if your marriage will last. Yes, having your love one’s name tattooed on you is a sign of love and devotion. In reality, a lot of tattoo removal clinics say that most of their clients or patients have their tattoos removed due to job purposes and a name or portrait of a past lover.
To make this less difficult, choose a tattoo design that is more general, signs or symbols that have broad meaning like a Kenji or Chinese characters. These designs are beautiful and show a lot of mystery simply because not a lot of westerners can read them. But before getting these simple but beautiful tattoos, it is best to have someone translate the symbol first before getting it permanently fixed on to your skin.
You may want to get a flash tattoo or new custom tattoo. Flash tattoos are ready made designs and old favorites like anchors, skulls, hearts, butterflies, roses, barbed wire, dragons and a lot more. This helps first time tattoo goers choose a design or they can mix them up creating a new custom tattoo.
There are also colored and your basic black and gray tattoos. Coloured tattoos are simply beautiful to look at, an artist is given a lot of options on how to brighten up a design. But you will be amazed how professional tattoo artist play around with black ink.
A tattoo is one form of self expression, it is imperative to give it much thought before going under the needle and don’t turn yourself into a walking comic book.
