Hair loss is most likely one of the most unwelcome conditions that affect menaround the world. Hair loss doesn’t reallyinduce any harm to us, it doesn’t cause any physical pain. If there is one thing that hair loss can do to us is affect us mentally. Hair loss can drain down your confidence, you self esteem, and it can cause depression.
The balding experience usuallystarts on older men, this type of hair loss is referred to as androgenetic alopecia or better known as male pattern baldness. Sadly nowadays, even children are now experiencing this hair loss condition. Strangely, more and more children are experiencing hair loss.
Young children and teens can develop all kinds of hair loss conditions like traction alopecia which is the accidental pulling of hair due to certain hair styles or trichotillomania the habit of pulling hair. The good news is, these conditions are temporary, just identify the cause and do some modifications and hair will grow back eventually.
When it comes to androgenetic alopecia it’s a different story. This condition is a permanent type of hair loss. For whatever reason the scalp hair follicles are genetically sensitive to a male hormone called DHT or dihydrotestosterone. This is a familial condition and it carried by both parents. The sad thing about this if you have a family history of teen hair loss, then it is most probable that you will develop hair loss in your teens.
It is unfair for children or teens to experience this type of hair loss but if you gene states that you’ll be experiencing hair loss at a young age, then there is nothing we can do about it. Fortunately, there are a lot of hair loss treatment product available to stop the harmful effects of DHT on the scalp. These treatments are proven to be effective in stopping further hair loss and stimulate new hair growth.
